The beauty of nature comes alive at Horsefeathers
The Flora & Fauna

In 2006, my wife drove through the city of Clarksville, and saw a for sale sign on a piece of property that was called Goldies Place. She stopped and looked at the property, came home and announced, “I’m moving”, When I asked her how was the house, she said she didn’t even look at the house.
The very next day I viewed the house and property, and the rest is history. The superficial beauty of the property is obvious. what I find most alluring, is the beautiful habitat and wide diversity of Flora and fauna. The streamside habitat is home to some of the Ohio’s rarest animals and plants. From fish like the Rainbow darter, and the rarely seen the ringneck snake to the more common deer and wild turkeys, I’m constantly being amazed.
Around our meadow pasture you will see Bluebirds, Orioles, Tree Swallows and more.
Our main lake provides a home for Belted Kingfisher, both blue and green Herons and of course one of my favorites the Redwing Blackbird.
Adding to the beauty of our majestic Sycamores and Oaks, we have added beautiful water lilies, a springtime daffodil walk and hundreds of day lilies. Native wildflowers add the final touch to this beautiful habitat we call Horsefeathers.
